I’m going to go a different route and NOT feature “amazing singers with amazing voices” (that seems to be the only fucking thing people want to hear and see, these days). Let’s change it up a bit. And not just feature musicians but also cool people demoing cool-ass gear. Roll ’em!
Luke at Drum Angle, playing a Jobeky electronic drumkit (Toontrack’s Superior Drummer). This guy fucking destroys. I wish I could play at his level. I’m alright but this dude is disgusting. Oh, and also…. Toontrack is one of my favorite software companies EVER. I have been a user and owner of Superior Drummer since version 1, and recently upgraded to Superior Drummer 3.0 and fucking LOVING IT. HEADPHONE CANDY (don’t listen to this through a tinny speaker. Listen as it is meant to be listened to).
Accurate, doing his perfect thing. This guy LIVES and BREATHES hip-hop, and I fucking LOVE HIM
Sanjay covering “Glasgow Love Theme” from Love Actually (by Craig Armstrong) using ONLY Native Instruments sounds (Kontakt) and a $160 Native Instruments mini keyboard. WHAT? Fucking BRILLIANT!!!
This next guy inspires the hell out of me and could sell me a broken toy from 1988. What a salesman and a hell of a drummer and speaker, as well.
Guy playing Drum-Tec electronic kit, triggering Superior Drummer 3.0. If anyone ever thinks electronic drums are bullshit…. Luke (above) proves them wrong, but this guy especially, too. Superior Drummer/Toontrack is fucking brilliant.
And here’s Andrew Huang demonstrating the NI A-series midi keyboards…. wonderful. I love the design of these.
