These people on social media justifying horrible behavior (usually guys), saying shit like “since the dawn of time… rape. Murder. Theft”. Yeah. Ok. Fine.

There’s always the rapist/wackadoos committing terrible crimes. No shit. Since the dawn of time, as they say. But what about the current rape culture and victim-shaming and victim-blaming?

The more the lines of communication are opened, and the more young boys are taught to NOT RAPE (instead of telling young girls to “not wear that”), the more the rape numbers go way down. TEACHING BOYS TO NOT RAPE. What a concept, right? This isn’t taught to young boys. Still.

Young boys are also not introduced to Judy Blume books (such as Tiger Eyes, or Forever, or Blubber, or Iggie’s House, of course), though they SHOULD be. Because the shit helps more than most people can imagine. It helped ME understand the minds of young women and be fully respectful of them, as my parents were pretty hands-off/not involved in my upbringing… I read to myself a lot at a young age. My older sister spent more time with me than my parents. But that Judy Blume world…. that really molded my heart into something good. I think a lot of that shit helps way more than people can imagine.

Yes, the world and humanity is terrible, but if you really look at the BIG picture, humanity ISN’T terrible,  by and large. Look at your everyday interactions with people. Aren’t people in general…. good? They might be cranky serving you at a restaurant, or road ragey at 5:15pm… but… don’t you see there is more good out there than evil? Or am I wrong? I’m probably wrong. I don’t seem to be right about anything (or at least it feels that way).

All I see is… the shittiest people have the loudest voices, and rich fucks can get away with rape and money laundering because they’re rich.

I’m so fucking sick of everything. Please vote. Please vote blue.
